Job Overview

As an Early Childhood Educator - ITE, you will support children’s learning, development, and participation in a welcoming classroom. You will plan and lead age-appropriate activities, provide attentive childcare, and adapt teaching approaches to children’s individual needs. Your work helps children feel included and gives colleagues clear information to support consistent care.

Wage includes $6 wage enhancement, closing shift 8:30am-5pm, valid BC ITE required.

Responsibilities

- Lead engaging early childhood education activities that encourage learning, communication, and social development.
- Provide attentive childcare, observe children’s progress, and adapt classroom activities to support individual needs, including those related to disabilities.
- Maintain organized classroom records and share relevant updates with colleagues and families.
- Use computer tools for routine classroom tasks and written communication.





Skills

Required: Practical childcare, teaching, communication, organization, time management, writing, and basic computer operation skills support safe, responsive classroom work. Preferred: Experience working with children, classroom experience, and experience with individuals with disabilities are valuable; English communication, special education knowledge, and leadership are additional strengths.

Pay: $29.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 42.5 per week
