Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Winch Truck Driver with a Class 1 license to join our dynamic team in Edmonton and surrounding areas. In this role, you will be responsible for operating specialized heavy-duty trucks equipped with winches to assist with the secure loading, unloading, and recovery of various types of freight and equipment. Your expertise in truck driving, route management, and equipment handling will ensure efficient operations across multiple job sites. Responsibilities

- Operate Class 1 winch trucks safely and efficiently across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load, unload, and secure freight using appropriate equipment such as flatbeds, tanker units, refrigerated trailers, or roll-off trucks.
- Perform routine inspections of the truck and associated equipment, including forklifts and dump trucks, to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance.
- Assist with the recovery of stuck or damaged vehicles using the winch system, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
- Manage route schedules effectively to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining a high standard of safety.




- Maintain accurate logs of all trips, loads, inspections, and maintenance activities for compliance purposes.
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, site personnel, and clients to coordinate deliveries and pickups efficiently.

Skills

- Proven experience driving commercial trucks with manual transmission systems.
- Knowledge of operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Strong understanding of load securing techniques and freight handling procedures.
- Ability to load & unload cargo safely using forklifts or other lifting equipment when necessary.
- Excellent route driving skills with a focus on safety and punctuality.
- Familiarity with truck maintenance routines and basic troubleshooting skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00-$42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 70 per week
