Are you an experienced retail or optical skilled looking to step into a leadership role? We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Assistant Optical Manager to help oversee daily operations, mentor team members, and deliver outstanding patient and customer care.

In this salaried leadership position, you will partner with the Store Manager to drive sales performance, manage daily store operations, and ensure our customers receive an exceptional optical experience. No formal optician license is required—we welcome leaders with strong retail management and sales experience who are eager to learn and grow in the optical industry!

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership: Assist the Store Manager in driving sales targets, managing store workflow, opening/closing procedures, and ensuring brand standards are met.

Team Supervision & Coaching: Support, train, and motivate sales associates and optical assistants to deliver high-quality service and meet key performance metrics.

Customer & Patient Care: Welcome clients, guide frame selection, recommend suitable lens packages based on customer lifestyle, and resolve customer inquiries with professionalism.

Sales & Merchandising: Oversee frame board displays, maintain inventory presentation, and assist in managing inventory levels and frame orders.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: 2+ years of customer service or retail experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory, team lead, or assistant manager role. Optical or healthcare retail experience is a solid asset, but not mandatory.

Licensing: No Optician License (RO) required.

Availability: Flexible open availability to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends as required by retail operations.

Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership skills, conflict-resolution ability, and passion for customer satisfaction.

Tech Savvy: Comfortable using point-of-sale (POS) systems, optical software, and basic office tools.

Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour
