Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in automotive engine manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with engine die-casting lines, die-casting machining lines, and engine assembly lines, including equipment specification development, concept design, and pneumatic/hydraulic drawings. The candidate must be capable of managing projects end to end, from concept development through manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and production launch.

Project Manager Engine Manufacturing
Location: Alliston, Ontario, Canada

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end projects involving engine manufacturing equipment, from concept development through manufacturing, installation, and production launch.
- Develop equipment specifications for engine die-casting lines, die-casting machining lines, and engine assembly lines.
- Create and review pneumatic and hydraulic drawings related to equipment functionality.




- Develop equipment concepts using SolidWorks and perform basic engineering calculations to size machine components.
- Analyze existing equipment and designs, identify problems, and implement engineering improvements.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, resource planning, risks, and stakeholder communication.
- Coordinate with production engineering teams, equipment suppliers, and global vendors to ensure timely equipment procurement, installation, and production readiness.
- Lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, production trials, and launch support.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 13 15 years of relevant engineering and project management experience
- Robust understanding of engine manufacturing lines and equipment.
- Direct experience with equipment specifications for:
- Engine die-casting lines.
- Engine die-casting machining lines.
- Engine assembly lines.
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic drawings.
- Ability to develop equipment concepts using SolidWorks.
- Experience taking designs from concept through manufacturing and installation.
- Strong project management, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
