Construction Safety Officer for an active wood-frame residential site in Squamish. This is a replacement for a departing CSO, so the seat is live now.
WHAT THE WORK IS
- Site safety on a working build: orientations, toolbox talks, inspections and documentation
- Hazard assessments, and chasing the corrective action rather than just logging it
- Keeping the site-specific safety plan and fall protection plans current
- First aid attendance on site if you are certified
- Incident and near-miss investigation, and WorkSafeBC reporting
WHAT WE ARE ACTUALLY LOOKING FOR
Someone who is out on the deck with the crew, not behind a clipboard. The safety voice on site, respected by the trades, not resented by them.
OFA Level 3 required. A CSO ticket is required, or we fund it for the right person with the site hours behind them. Spanish is an asset on our crews.
WHAT YOU GET
Your rate is agreed in writing before your first shift.
Most agencies won't tell you until you've already turned up. We will.
Ticket lapsed? We renew it.
Live in Squamish, Brackendale, Whistler or Pemberton and the site is on your doorstep. Coming up the highway from town? Plenty of our crew do.
