Assessment is where people finally get answers. At Cove Centre, we look after the clinicians who provide them.

We’re a psychologist-led practice in Comox, and we’re looking for a registered psychologist to join us providing psychodiagnostic and psychoeducational assessments.

Compensation
$171 to $196 per clinical hour, fee split, adjusted for experience.

The Role
Independent contractor, based at our Comox office and registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC. Psychoeducational assessments are in person in Comox, and adult assessments are online across BC.

We offer flexible scheduling, but we need you in the Comox Valley. Full-time or part-time, early-career or experienced, you're welcome here!

What You’ll Do

- Complete comprehensive psychodiagnostic and psychoeducational assessments for children, youth and adults, including ADHD, autism, learning, giftedness and cognitive concerns
- Choose the tools and approach you trust for each referral question
- Write clear, useful reports that families, schools and clients can act on
- Collaborate with colleagues, schools and outside providers

What We Offer

- Referrals sent to you,

and a waitlist for psychoeducational assessment that shows how much demand there is
- All testing materials purchased and provided by us, so you never pay out of pocket for kits, forms or scoring
- Supervision included, and group consultation every two weeks
- Full administrative and billing support, run on Jane
- You’re paid based on your invoice, not on whether or not your client has settled up
- Staff social events and supported continuing education
- A newly renovated office steps from the ocean and downtown Comox, with water views and plenty of parking

Who We Are
Cove Centre is a trauma-informed, inclusive practice built on one idea: clinicians who are well supported do their best work. Our clinicians are our clients, and we care for them that way.

Where We Are
The Comox Valley has the ocean, river, lake, trails and ski hills close by, great food and coffee, and the amenities of a city in a real community. It’s a place people move to and stay.
