Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable Commercial Flooring Labourer to support flooring installation projects at commercial sites. You’ll work alongside experienced installers to prepare work areas, handle materials, and assist with installing and finishing flooring. This hands-on role is suited to someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, follows safety procedures, and is eager to build practical trade skills.

Responsibilities

- Prepare job sites by clearing work areas, protecting nearby surfaces, and organizing materials and tools.
- Assist with measuring, cutting, fitting, and installing commercial flooring.
- Support tile laying and other flooring installation tasks, including surface preparation and finishing.
- Use hand tools safely and appropriately; help maintain tools and keep the work area clean.
- Assist with basic carpentry, caulking, and related site tasks as needed.
- Read and follow project plans, measurements, and instructions; ask for clarification when needed.




- Move flooring materials and supplies around the site and help maintain an orderly, protected workspace.
- Work cooperatively with installers and other trades to complete projects to specification.

Requirements

- Ability to perform physical work, including standing, bending, kneeling, and handling flooring materials.
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a crew.
- Familiarity with hand tools is required or strongly preferred.
- Construction experience and flooring installation experience are assets.
- Experience with tile laying, blueprint reading, carpentry, caulking, or handyman work is an advantage.
- Willingness to learn flooring techniques and follow site safety practices.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
