Reporting to the Warehouse Coordinator, this role is responsible for shipping, receiving, issuing supplies and merchandise, operating forklifts, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The Material Handler ensures all warehouse activities are completed efficiently, safely, and accurately in a clean, organized facility. The ideal candidate has solid warehouse experience, hands-on forklift operating experience, and a strong commitment to safety and attendance.

Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Primary Responsibilities

*
Receive and ship incoming and outgoing materials

*
Safely operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse

*
Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently

*
Verify incoming shipments against packing slips and inspect materials for damage

*
Sort, organize, and store materials for proper storage or distribution

*
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as required

*
Package outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper handling, including export requirements where applicable

*
Perform all shipping and receiving duties as required

*
Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records

*
Use computer systems, including ERP software, to track and manage inventory

*
Complete administrative tasks and reports in a timely and accurate manner

Perform routine forklift inspections and report equipment issues or safety concerns

*
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

*
Follow all health and safety policies and procedures

*
Perform additional warehouse duties as required

Qualifications and Experience

*
Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse or similar environment

*
Previous hands-on forklift operating experience is required

*
Valid forklift certification is preferred or required based on site requirements

*
Experience with shipping, receiving, loading, and unloading

*
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is an asset

*
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

*
Strong written and verbal communication skills

*
Highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines

*
Proficient in computer systems, including MS Office and ERP systems

*
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

*
Strong multitasking and prioritization skills

*
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs

Knowledge of WHMIS and workplace health and safety standards

*
Proven reliability, consistent attendance, and punctuality are essential
