Side Group Rail Ltd is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill a Loader Operator/Class 1 Driver position.

This Position will be split between loader operating and Driving.

Class 1 Driver:

Shift is Monday to Friday, Dayshift. Local work. Each trip is between 1.5 hours and 2 hours

You will be responsible for the delivery of material from a mill to GP Reload yard. Duties include regular inspections, completing daily logs, loading / off-loading materials. Compliance to Health, Safety & Environmental Standards is due diligence. Cleanliness and adhering to company policies and programs are critical.

We are seeking individuals with experience in a distribution environment. On-the-job training is provided. Successful candidates will demonstrate robust self-motivation, reliability, and exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to work independently.

Knowledge of Grande Prairie and northwestern AB area would be an asset.

5-year commercial abstract will be required at time of hire.

Loader Operator:

This position will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of products within the company premises.

The successful candidate will possess exceptional time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

· Coordinate and direct truck traffic within the yard.

· Unloading trucks.

· Unloading railcars loaded with oak lumber

· Stacking/organizing of unloaded products





· Loading center-beam railcars with dimensional lumber and OSB products from a picklist.

· Inspect product being received and shipped for accuracy and quality

· Proper handling of paperwork/BOLs.

· Vehicle/machinery maintenance.

· Compliance with all safety regulations is due diligence.

· Cleanliness and adhering to company policies and programs are critical.

Qualifications:

· Transloading or shipping and receiving experience preferred.

· Industrial Railway Operation certification considered an asset.

· Materials handling experience.

· Front End Wheel Loader/Forklift Truck experience required.

· Valid class 1 Driver’s license.

· Ability to pass a Class 1 Drivers’ physical examination

Physical Demands:

· Occasionally Lift / Carry weights to 50 lbs.
