This is hands-on work where precision, care, and attention to detail directly impact the quality of every project.

About Us

Lynx Specialty Services is a CWB-certified (Division 2) and COR-certified contractor specializing in structural steel erection, miscellaneous metals, metal decking, prefab wall and floor panels (including CLT and hollow core), mass timber, and precast installation. With 60+ employees across Western Canada, we’re committed to delivering exceptional quality and maintaining the highest safety standards on every project.

Duties

- Read blueprints and schematics to understand dimensions, materials, assembly sequences, and mass timber connection details
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install mass timber, CLT panels, and prefab wall/floor components with precision
- Install connections, fasteners, and hardware for mass timber and CLT systems according to specifications
- Build concrete forms, assist with concrete finishing, and support other trades as project needs require
- Safely handle materials, perform heavy lifting, and operate equipment (hoists, forklifts, lifts) when appropriate




- Coordinate work progress with colleagues and other trades to maintain schedule and quality standards
- Contribute to a culture of safety and quality craftsmanship on every site

Qualifications

Required: Practical carpentry and woodworking skills, ability to read blueprints and schematics, and safe use of hand and power tools. Experience with prefab assembly, concrete forming, or installation work is strongly valued.

Preferred: Construction experience; familiarity with mass timber, CLT, concrete forming, drywall, siding, restoration, and heavy equipment operation; ability to work at heights; and a track record of quality craftsmanship.

Essential: Strong understanding of safety protocols, commitment to quality work, versatility, and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Pay: $23.14-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
