Quantum Fire Protection is looking for a working foreman or strong journeyman lead hand to help lead our Calgary-area sprinkler projects. Experienced third- and fourth-year apprentices with leadership potential are also welcome to apply and will be considered for a role suited to their qualifications, with appropriate supervision.
We’re a growing fire protection contractor looking for someone who wants to take responsibility, contribute ideas, and build a long-term career. We have work secured into 2027 and are hiring to strengthen our field operations as we pursue further projects.

The foreman role
This is a hands-on position combining sprinkler installation with crew leadership. Responsibilities include planning daily work, directing and mentoring apprentices,
coordinating with other trades, anticipating material and equipment needs, checking workmanship, and organizing testing.
You will work directly with the owner, who provides project management and technical coordination support.
What we’re looking for
- Journeyman sprinkler fitter certification for the foreman position, or registered apprenticeship status for apprentice applicants.
- Relevant sprinkler installation experience.
- Robust communication, reliability, and pride in workmanship.
- Demonstrated leadership or the ability and motivation to develop into a leadership role.
- A valid driver’s licence.
Typical field hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with occasional overtime or evening work depending on project requirements. Start date can accommodate reasonable notice.
