We are building a fun, welcoming inline skating program that helps children develop skating skills in a fun, positive and encouraging environment.

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Inline Skating Instructor who genuinely enjoys working with children and is passionate about skating.

You will lead beginner-friendly skating sessions, introduce children to fundamental inline skating skills, and make learning fun through engaging activities and simple games.

This is a contract position with flexible hours and a strong possibility of ongoing work as our programs expand. We are looking for someone interested in growing with us over the longer term.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead engaging inline skating lessons for children, primarily beginners.
- Teach using fun games, activities, and positive encouragement to keep children engaged and motivated.
- Follow program guidelines, safety procedures, and lesson plans.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit children's confidence levels, and abilities.
- Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Demonstrate proper skating techniques and reinforce the use of appropriate protective equipment.




- Monitor children's progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Communicate professionally with parents and the program team.

Requirements

- Previous teaching, coaching, or instructor experience is highly preferred.
- A genuine love for working with children, along with patience, energy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to clearly explain and demonstrate skating techniques.
- Dependable, punctual, responsible, and safety-conscious.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, depending on program schedules.
- Vulnerable Sector Check required.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
