We're a busy, patient-focused optometry clinic in South Edmonton, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys learning new skills, and understands that teamwork makes all the difference.

What You'll Be Doing

This is a dynamic, hands-on position where no two days are exactly alike! You'll be cross-trained in several areas of the clinic, giving you the opportunity to build a well-rounded skill set in the optical industry.

Optical Dispensing & Patient Experience

- Help patients choose eyeglass frames that complement their style, prescription, lifestyle, and budget.
- Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and eyewear solutions.
- Take accurate optical measurements and assist with eyewear orders.
- Adjust, fit, and dispense glasses to ensure comfort and satisfaction.
- Provide exceptional customer service while helping patients feel confident in their eyewear choices.
- Contribute to the clinic's optical sales goals through genuine recommendations and excellent patient care.

Pretesting & Clinical Support

- Welcome patients into the clinical testing area and explain the testing process.
- Perform preliminary diagnostic testing, such as autorefraction, tonometry, retinal imaging, and other testing as trained and directed.
- Accurately document test results and patient information in our electronic records system.
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for appointments.
- Support our optometrists in maintaining an efficient and organized patient flow.

Front Desk & Administration





- Greet patients warmly and create a positive first impression.
- Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and schedule appointments.
- Manage patient check-ins, check-outs, and appointment bookings.
- Process payments and assist with insurance billing and direct billing.
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow confidentiality procedures.
- Help keep the clinic running smoothly through communication, organization, and teamwork.

- Has previous optical, optometry, retail, or customer service experience.
- Is outgoing, approachable, and comfortable speaking with patients of all ages.
- Is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Is confident using computers and learning new systems.
- Takes initiative and can recognize what needs to be done without always being asked.
- Works well independently but understands the importance of supporting the entire team.
- Is reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a professional workplace.
- Is comfortable with a role that involves both patient care and sales.
- Has a positive attitude and is open to coaching, feedback, and continued learning.

Optical experience is an asset, but we're willing to train the right person! A strong work ethic, excellent people skills, and a willingness to learn are just as important to us.

Position Details

- Position: Full time, Permanent
- Location: Oasis Eyecare – Rutherford, South Edmonton
- Schedule: Weekday shifts, with evening and Saturday availability required
- Compensation: Competitive wages based on experience and qualifications
