Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plant Operator to join our team in managing and maintaining industrial operations within the oil & gas sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, and familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs). This role involves overseeing plant machinery, ensuring safety standards, and supporting effective production processes. The Plant Operator will play a vital role in maintaining operational excellence and safety compliance across the facility.

Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor various types of heavy industrial equipment to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to control and troubleshoot automated systems.
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to diagnose issues, perform troubleshooting, and implement solutions promptly.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to identify potential hazards and prevent accidents.
- Assist with setup, changeovers, and calibration of equipment for different production runs.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities,



and safety checks.
- Support the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and safety standards.

Experience

- Prior construction experience or background working with hydrogen equipment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems is advantageous.
- Mechanical knowledge related to plant equipment, pumps, valves, and related systems is essential.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting tasks are required.
- Previous experience in oil & gas or similar industrial environments will be considered a plus.

Pay: $35.00-$65.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
