Restaurant Operations Manager — Multi-Venue GroupAbout the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Restaurant Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across our restaurant and bar venues. You’ll work closely with ownership and venue managers to keep each location running smoothly, support the teams, and help the business grow.
We currently operate three venues and are preparing to grow to four, with the potential to expand further. This role involves working across locations and spending regular time on the floor. The successful candidate will work at least one service shift per week at each venue.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee day-to-day operations across all venues and support venue managers and their teams.
- Work at least one service shift per week at each location, helping maintain strong service and stay connected to the teams and guests.
- Organize and lead a weekly meeting with the management team at each venue to review targets, results, challenges, and action items.
- Monitor labour costs, scheduling, sales, cost of goods, inventory, waste, and other operating expenses; identify issues and work with managers on practical solutions.
- Help ensure guests receive warm, consistent service at every venue.
- Monitor Google reviews and other guest feedback, follow up on recurring concerns, and help teams improve the guest experience.
- Keep an eye on routine maintenance and repairs, handle smaller issues when possible, and coordinate with plumbers, handymen, and other service providers when needed.
- Help coordinate supplies and occasional liquor pickups between locations or from suppliers.
- Communicate clearly with ownership and venue managers about priorities, challenges, staffing, costs, guest feedback, and repairs.
- Help establish consistent operating practices across venues while recognizing that each location has its own character.
- Support the opening and integration of new venues as the group grows.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience managing operations in restaurants, bars, or a multi-location hospitality business.
- Strong people skills and the ability to lead, coach, and support managers and frontline teams.
- Practical understanding of labour management, scheduling, food and beverage costs, inventory, and day-to-day restaurant operations.
- A guest-focused approach and the judgment to handle service issues calmly and professionally.
- Organized, reliable, resourceful, and comfortable moving between hands-on problem-solving and broader operational oversight.
- A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable car. Regular travel between venues is required.
- Flexibility to work service shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by the venues.
- Ability to handle occasional liquor pickups and other practical errands between locations.
Schedule and Location
This is a full time, multi-location role based across our venues. The schedule includes at least one service shift per week at each venue, weekly management meetings at each location, and time for operational follow-up, site visits, and maintenance coordination.
