Hart Pump Service (1983

Greater Toronto Area

Hart Pump Service has been fixing pumps in the GTA since 1983. We service and install booster systems, fire pumps, sump and sewage, HVAC circulators and the motors and controls behind them, for property managers, contractors, plants and municipalities across the region.

What you'll do

- Take the calls nobody else can close: intermittent faults, vibration, seal failures that keep coming back, controls that fight the pump
- Run multi-tech installs and changeouts from site walk to commissioning. Plan the lift, the rigging, the shutdown and the restart
- Mentor junior and mid-level techs on site. Sign off on their work before it goes back to the customer
- Scope repairs on site and give the customer a straight answer on what it will take
- Work with the Service Manager on scheduling, parts and standards. Help set how we do things

What you need

- 7 or more years in pump, rotating equipment, mechanical or industrial service, with at least 2 years leading jobs or other techs
- Deep hands-on skill: alignment, bearing and seal replacement, 3-phase motor and VFD troubleshooting, reading P&IDs; and wiring diagrams

- 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright, 306A Plumber or equivalent ticket strongly preferred
- Fire pump and booster system experience is a real plus. NFPA 20 and 25 familiarity is a real plus
- Valid G licence, clean abstract.

What you get

- $45 to $55 per hour
- Time and a half after 44 hours. Standby pay when you carry the phone
- Company service van, fuel and tablet.
- Health and dental perks after 3 months
- A voice in how the service department runs, and first look at the Field Service Manager seat as we grow

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Benefits:

- Casual dress
- Dental care
- Employee assistance program
- Extended health care
- Life insurance
- Vision care

Application question(s):

- How many techs have you supervised or trained, and for how long?
- Which trade ticket do you hold, and when did you get it?
- Have you installed or serviced fire pumps under NFPA 20 or 25? Where?
