Perform scheduled machine breakdowns and changeovers according to maintenance and production schedules to keep the line running efficiently.
Conduct routine equipment maintenance, including lubrication, minor repairs, and basic troubleshooting to maintain optimal machine performance.
Verify part dimensions and quality by measuring finished components to ensure they meet engineering drawings, prints, and specified tolerances.
Report any variances or discrepancies between produced parts and prints to the team leader promptly so corrective actions can be taken.
Maintain accurate and timely production documentation, including logs, quality records, and other required paperwork.
Remove slugs, scrap, and debris from the work area and equipment to prevent marking or damaging remaining stock and to maintain a clean, safe workspace.
Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, safety,

Previous experience operating Salvagnini machinery is considered a robust advantage.

Basic troubleshooting skills for mechanical and process-related issues.
Openness to cross-training and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Why Work Here?
You join a supportive production team that values safety, quality, and collaboration, with structured training to help you succeed in the role. The organization offers comprehensive health and dental coverage, performance-based bonus opportunities, and a yearly work boot allowance. A positive, team-oriented culture is reinforced through regular appreciation events such as free lunches on long weekends and BBQs on summer holidays, contributing to a strong sense of camaraderie and work-life balance.
Work Environment
This is an afternoon shift role, working from approximately 3:30 p.m. to midnight in a busy metal fabrication facility. Initial training takes place on the day shift for about one month, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., to ensure familiarity with the equipment and processes. The production line consists of four people plus a lead hand, and the operator is responsible for the process from start to finish on the line. The day shift has around 80 people on the floor, while the afternoon shift has about 35, providing a dynamic but manageable environment.
