Job Overview

MK Construction is hiring experienced Class 3 Drivers in Fort McMurray, AB. This role supports construction and field operations by safely transporting freight, materials, and equipment to job sites. The successful candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working around construction vehicles and heavy equipment.

Duties

- Operate Class 3 vehicles to transport freight, construction materials, tools, and equipment between locations.
- Load, secure, and unload cargo, using a forklift when trained and authorized.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, document vehicle condition, and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Keep vehicles clean and organized, and coordinate deliveries with site teams.
- Follow traffic laws, site procedures, and safe work practices while driving and working around active construction areas.
- Assist with basic vehicle checks and minor automotive repair tasks within the scope of training and authorization.




- Support site operations as needed, including working around heavy equipment and coordinating secure movement of materials.

Qualifications

- Valid Class 3 driver’s licence and a safe driving record.
- Demonstrated commercial driving experience; construction or industrial-site experience is an asset.
- Experience transporting freight and securing loads safely.
- Forklift experience or certification is an asset; willingness to complete required training is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation or working around heavy machinery is an advantage.
- Basic automotive repair or vehicle-maintenance knowledge is an asset.
- Strong awareness of safety procedures, reliable attendance, and the ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and site personnel.

Pay: $20.91-$36.98 per hour
