- Responsible for weld cell set-up and editing as needed
- Performs robot programming as needed
- Initiate maintenance PM schedule on robot and automated systems in Weld Cell
- Troubleshoots controllers, electrical and mechanical repairs
- Ensures welding process is effective and running efficiently
- Conducts training for weld cell employees for specific job functions
- Conducts weld penetration testing frequency on control plan
- Performs weld adjustments
- Responsible for weld quality and scrap, review and analyze weld scrap on a daily basis
- Performs TIG and MIG welding when required (Weld Repair)
- Participates in the Continuous Improvement Process and applies team principles, identifying areas for improvement, assisting with problem solving and recommending changes
- Assist with providing leadership in problem solving and the concept of continual improvement
- Consults with various departments, suppliers and vendors to exchange information in order to resolve issues
- Supports the Wescast Way which includes the Scanlon Principles, Company Values, Lean and Innovation
- Supports and participates in the Continuous Improvement Initiatives
- Complies with company policies and procedures
- Participates in the Continuous Improvement Process and applies team principles, identifying areas for improvement,

- Maintains a clean work environment in immediate work area as well as general facility

Qualifications:

· 3 years experience in automotive industry or automotive supplier preferred but can be in related manufacturing environment.

· Must demonstrate high level of initiative as well as exceptional problem solving and analytical skills

· Experience in foundry, metal, aluminum or steel industries preferred

· Must have robust written and verbal communication skills

· Experience with MS Project, MS Excel and MS Office
