St. Albert, AB — various project sites in and around the Edmonton area, with occasional out-of-town projects

Full-time, Permanent | $37.50/hour | 30–60 hours per week (40 hours guaranteed; overtime as required)

Schedule: Day, Weekend, Overtime required, Flexible hours | Starts as soon as possible

Duties:

- Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials

- Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade

- Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement

- Operate power vibrators to compact concrete

- Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification

- Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools

- Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces

- Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures





- Perform finishing tool maintenance between jobs and during slower times

- Complete interior floor finishing work during winter months, including large floor projects

Requirements:

- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience as a concrete finisher

- English

- Valid driver's licence

- Physically demanding work, standing for extended periods

- Work workplace: dusty, hot, noisy, outdoors, wet/damp
