Hiring for Class 5 company drivers for Local 5-Ton in Edmonton

We are seeking a motivated and dependable 5 Ton Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team! In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a 5-ton truck to transport goods, materials, and equipment to various destinations. Duties

- Safely operate a 5-ton truck for local and regional deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual handling, ensuring proper securing of loads for transit
- Assist with warehouse activities including moving goods within the facility and preparing shipments for dispatch
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues promptly
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are maintained
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation




- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring deliveries are made on time and in good condition

Requirements

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating a 5-ton truck
- Proven experience in commercial driving, especially with heavy trucks such as 5-ton vehicles
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling of cargo safely and efficiently
- Experience with forklift operation is preferred; certification is a plus
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with logistics operations is highly desirable
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy vehicle operation and cargo handling
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate reliability, and maintain a positive attitude
