Overview

The Private Caregiver/PSW provides respectful, person-centred support in a private care setting. The role helps individuals maintain comfort, dignity, daily routines, and independence while supporting their personal care needs.

Duties

- Assist with patient care, including daily routines and safe mobility; support transfer to hospital 3 times a week.
- Prepare meals, and complete light cleaning to maintain a comfortable home setting.
- Support medication administration according to the individual’s care plan and established instructions.
- Provide attentive compassion care, including companion care, and support for an individual with disabilities, adapting assistance to the person’s needs.

Qualifications

Required: Practical caregiving skills, patience, clear communication, and the ability to assist with personal care, meal preparation, and safe mobility. Preferred: Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, home care, senior care, nursing, patient care, medication administration, or supporting individuals with disabilities.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 per week
