As Rock Mechanics Engineer you will be working with multi-disciplinary project teams to support our clients in Canada and around the world. The ideal candidate will be based in our North Bay or Toronto, Ontario office

Key Responsibilities

- Make significant contributions to design studies and engineering support for projects and operating mines
- Rock mass classification and the selection of geomechanical domains
- Stability assessments and analyses for slopes and/or underground openings
- Design performance monitoring
- Project management
- Contribute to the development of our staff, as well as new tools and processes
- Travel both domestically and internationally to meet the needs of our clients

Qualification Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in geological, mining or civil engineering. A graduate degree in rock mechanics is considered an asset.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario or other Canadian province or territory
- A solid technical design background in geotechnical analyses and project management experience
- A minimum of 5-10 years of applicable engineering experience, specifically related to mining and/or civil rock mechanics projects. Work experience should include:




- Rock mass classification
- Stability assessments of slopes and/or underground excavations
- Performance monitoring, including inspections and/or review of instrumentation data
- Preparation of design reports and technical specifications
- Valid driver’s license
