Atelier Élan is a boutique creative marketing agency working across branding, creative direction, photography, content creation, and experiential marketing.

We work with brands, businesses, and individuals to develop thoughtful visual identities, campaigns, and content that feel distinctive, intentional, and culturally relevant.

We're looking for a creative, organized, and enthusiastic individual based in Victoria, BC, to assist with photoshoot preparation, on-site production, social media, and various creative projects.

The Opportunity

This is a flexible, project-based contract opportunity for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes, bringing creative ideas to life, and being involved in different stages of the creative process.

As a Creative & Production Assistant, you'll work alongside the Creative Director, other Atelier Élan team members, and clients to support photoshoots, content creation, and creative projects as needed.

The role combines creative responsibilities with practical production support, making it a great opportunity for someone interested in photography, marketing, fashion, visual storytelling, or creative direction.

Work will be scheduled based on upcoming photoshoots and client needs, with approximately 1–10 hours available per month. Hours may vary, and there is no guaranteed minimum.

As Atelier Élan continues to grow, there is potential for this role to evolve, with opportunities to take on additional projects, responsibilities, and hours.

What You'll Be Working On

Photoshoot Preparation & Production

- Assist with planning and preparing for editorial, lifestyle, and commercial photoshoots
- Help organize props, wardrobe, styling elements, and equipment
- Support location scouting, mood boards, shot lists, and creative concepts
- Assist with coordinating models, talent, and other shoot participants
- Provide on-site assistance during photoshoots, including setup, styling adjustments, lighting support, and general production needs
- Capture behind-the-scenes photo and video content

Social Media & Content Creation

- Assist with social media content creation, planning, and scheduling
- Support content for Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and other platforms




- Assist with captions, short-form video, and creative storytelling
- Help organize digital assets and content libraries

Creative & General Support

- Assist with creative research and campaign development
- Support occasional events, activations, and brand experiences
- Help coordinate materials, supplies, and other production logistics
- Assist with scheduling, project organization, and administrative coordination
- Contribute ideas and creative input across various projects

- Based in Victoria, BC, and available for in-person photoshoots
- Flexible with scheduling based on project needs

Skills & Experience

We're looking for someone with experience or familiarity in:

- Canva — Creating and editing social media content, presentations, and visual materials
- Adobe Illustrator — Working with graphics, layouts, and creative assets
- Adobe Lightroom — Basic photo editing, organization, and image management
- Google Workspace — Particularly Google Docs, Google Drive, and shared documents
- Scheduling & Organization Systems — Managing calendars, coordinating schedules, organizing files, and tracking project details
- Social Media Platforms — Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and content scheduling tools

Bonus Skills

- Photography background or hands-on photography experience
- Graphic design skills and experience creating digital or print assets
- Website design, building, or maintenance experience
- Videography and short-form video editing experience

You don't need to be an expert in every area. We're interested in someone who has a strong creative foundation,



is comfortable learning new tools, and enjoys contributing to different types of projects.

This is an occasional contract chance rather than a regularly scheduled part-time position. The volume of work will vary month to month, with no guaranteed minimum hours.

Some photoshoots may take place during mornings, evenings, or weekends depending on project requirements.
