CARPENTER – APPRENTICESHIP OPPORTUNITY

St. John's, NL | $28.00/hour + 4% Vacation Pay

Full time | Monday–Friday | Long-Term Opportunity

Integrated Staffing is seeking a motivated Carpenter to join a residential construction team working on homes throughout the St. John's area.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has completed carpentry schooling and is looking to gain hands-on industry experience while continuing to develop their skills. A qualified journeyperson is available to sign off on eligible apprenticeship hours, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to advance their carpentry career and work toward Red Seal certification.

SCHEDULE & PAY

- Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- 30-minute paid lunch
- Starting wage of $28.00/hour + 4% vacation pay
- Opportunity for a wage increase after the probationary period, based on performance
- Weekly pay by direct deposit
- Long-term opportunity with consistent hours

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist with residential construction, including framing walls, floors and roofs
- Measure, cut and install building materials accurately
- Assist with installing windows, doors, siding, trim and other carpentry components
- Follow blueprints, measurements and project instructions
- Apply carpentry techniques learned through formal training
- Safely operate hand and power tools
- Assist with material handling, site preparation and general construction duties




- Work alongside experienced tradespeople while developing practical carpentry skills
- Maintain a secure and organized work site

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Completed carpentry schooling or relevant apprenticeship training
- Interest in pursuing or continuing an apprenticeship in carpentry
- Basic knowledge of carpentry techniques, measurements and hand and power tools
- Willingness to learn, take direction and develop practical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle to travel between residential job sites
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic hand tools, including a hammer, measuring tape and utility knife

ASSETS

- Previous residential construction or carpentry experience
- Ability to read blueprints or construction drawings
- Registered carpentry apprentice working toward Red Seal certification
- Fall Protection, WHMIS or other construction safety training

REQUIRED PPE

Steel-toe boots, hard hat, safety vest and appropriate work clothing.
