Laundry Aide — Part-Time

Elgin Lodge Retirement Living is seeking reliable and organized Laundry Aides to join our team. We are considering hiring two part-time employees.

Responsibilities

● Collect residents' personal laundry, towels and linens from resident rooms.

● Wash, dry, fold and distribute laundry, ensuring personal items are returned to the correct residents.

● Strip beds and make beds with fresh, clean bedding as required.

● Maintain a clean and organized laundry area.

● Handle laundry detergents and supplies safely and replenish stock as needed.

● Assist with housekeeping duties when required.

● Perform general duties and light maintenance tasks as required.

● Follow established infection prevention, hygiene and workplace safety procedures.

● Respect residents, their personal belongings and their privacy.





Qualifications

● Reliable, organized and able to work independently and as part of a team.

● Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, as required.

● Comfortable standing, bending and performing repetitive physical tasks.

● Able to safely use a step ladder when required.

● Previous laundry, housekeeping or general maintenance experience is an asset but not required.

Employment Type: Part-time Hours: Scheduled in accordance with the collective agreement.
