Project Manager – Commercial Construction & Project Delivery

Location: West Coast / Western Canada preferred; other locations considered
Travel: Must be willing to travel to a manufacturing facility near Vancouver, BC

About the Opportunity

An innovative building solutions company specializing in high-performance, sustainable commercial construction is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee projects from initial handover through design coordination, manufacturing, site execution, and final closeout.

This role works across multiple disciplines, coordinating with clients, engineering, estimating, procurement, manufacturing, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project requirements.

Candidates based on the West Coast or in Western Canada are preferred, but qualified professionals in other locations will also be considered. Willingness to travel 40% to the company's manufacturing facility near Vancouver, British Columbia, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead projects from initial handover through planning, execution, installation, and closeout.
- Support estimating, proposal development, scope reviews, budgeting, and preconstruction planning.
- Coordinate engineering, drafting, procurement, manufacturing, contractors, and site teams.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and consultant deliverables.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and project partners.
- Monitor field activities, coordinate installation requirements, and resolve project issues.
- Identify and manage risks involving design, permitting, procurement, manufacturing, quality, and schedule.




- Track project performance and communicate progress, milestones, cost updates, and risks.
- Oversee project documentation, quality requirements, deficiencies, warranty items, and closeout.
- Identify opportunities to improve project delivery, coordination, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

- Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Significant experience managing commercial construction projects, preconstruction, design coordination, or multidisciplinary project delivery.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, budgets, schedules, contracts, and site execution.
- Experience coordinating clients, consultants, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and project leadership skills.
- Proficiency with construction project management and document-control software.
- Willingness to travel to the manufacturing facility near Vancouver, BC, as required.

Preferred Experience

- Design-build, prefabricated, modular, panelized, or offsite construction.
- Structural systems, building-envelope systems, or manufacturing-related construction.
- Sustainable building solutions or innovative construction methods.
- BIM and design coordination platforms, such as Autodesk Construction Cloud or Revit.
- PMP certification or relevant project management training.

The Ideal Candidate

A hands-on construction Project Manager who can connect design, procurement, manufacturing, and field execution while maintaining control of budgets, schedules, quality, and client expectations. Experience with prefabricated or cutting-edge building systems is an advantage, but strong construction project management experience and the ability to coordinate complex projects are the priority.
