Toronto, ON Full-time Salary not specified Lead an engineering team and contribute hands-on to RBC’s AML Data Foundation Hub, building cloud-native data platforms and pipelines. Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop engineers while contributing to design and delivery. Build and optimize batch and incremental data pipelines using Snowflake, Spark, and dbt. Design reliable, scalable, cost-efficient data systems using cloud platforms, containers, Kubernetes or OpenShift, and infrastructure as code. Own data CI/CD, code review, testing, setting promotion, orchestration, and pipeline observability. Establish data quality controls, reconciliation, lineage, and retention practices aligned with AML and regulatory requirements. Partner with Platform and SRE teams on service objectives, incidents, and postmortems. Qualifications





10+ years of engineering experience delivering production pipelines and distributed systems at scale, including 2-4+ years leading engineers. Hands-on Snowflake expertise, production Spark experience, and strong data modeling and medallion architecture skills. Experience with Airflow or equivalent, dbt, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes or OpenShift, and infrastructure as code. Experience with data quality, reconciliation, lineage, and data retention practices. Kafka or CDC, observability, security and privacy, financial services, and AWS experience are assets.
