A growing Media and Broadcasting company based in Surrey, BC is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable & Traffic Support Specialist to join our team.
This role is primarily responsible for managing the Accounts Receivable Cycle , including invoicing, payment processing, collections, reconciliation, and financial reporting. The position will also provide backup support to the Traffic Department when coverage is required , assisting with commercial scheduling and broadcast logs.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable (Primary Role)
- Prepare and issue accurate client invoices based on contracts and sales orders
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks and internal systems
- Support month-end reporting and financial reconciliation
- Coordinate between accounting, sales, and broadcasting operations and may involve learning technical broadcast scheduling systems.
Traffic Coordination Support (Coverage)
- Assist with scheduling and placement of radio commercials
- Support preparation of daily commercial logs using Aquira traffic software :
- Coordinate with sales and programming teams to ensure commercials air as scheduled
- Assist with resolving scheduling or log discrepancies
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration :
- Minimum 2 years experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software :
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in broadcasting or media is considered an asset :
- English required; Punjabi or Hindi considered an asse
