Overview

Duties

- Prepare and serve a variety of deli products, including slicing meats and cheeses, and packaging items for customers
- Daily Prep Work like slicing slicing meats and cheeses for charcuterie products for customers
- Operate POS systems for accurate cash handling and transactions
- Assist customers with their selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area in compliance with health regulations
- Manage inventory levels, restock products as needed, and ensure proper food storage
- Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Follow food safety protocols during all food preparation and serving activities
- Ensure timely food preparation to meet customer demands while managing time effectively during busy periods

Experience





- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety standards within the food industry is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers
- Ability to perform basic math functions accurately for cashiering and inventory management
- Experience in serving or cashiering roles will be advantageous
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during shifts
