Manage manufacturing accounting for CMP Group Ltd. in Delta, BC, using advanced Excel and financial reporting expertise. This is an in-office temporary contract.
The Assistant Controller supports all accounting areas except inventory and COGS for CMP Group Ltd. The six-month contract includes weekly and monthly reporting to head office. You will interpret accounting policies, complete cash flow analysis, and support management and employees with accounting procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete month-end G/L reconciliations excluding inventory and tax
- Monitor balance sheet accounts and resolve issues
- Maintain the rolling 26-week cash forecast
- Prepare audit working papers and sample data
- Complete monthly intercompany reconciliations for consolidation
Requirements:
- Seven-plus years as an assistant controller or similar
- Seven-plus years in accounting and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills and Microsoft Access experience
- Seven-plus years managing customer collections
- Seven-plus years completing reconciliations and audit working papers
