This eighteen-month Operations Accountant position supports Surge Energy Inc., a publicly traded oil-focused exploration and production company. You will maintain accounting data, prepare taxes and fees, review operational results, and support joint venture accounting. The role requires oil and gas experience, robust IFS Platform knowledge, and analytical judgment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain Master Data integrity within Qbyte FM, Execute, and OpenInvoice
- Prepare annual AER fees, levies, mineral taxes, and property taxes
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and operational variance reviews




- Prepare payout statements and necessary adjusting entries
- Support audits, JIBs, royalties, and partner query resolution

Requirements:
- Two to five years of oil and gas experience
- Accounting diploma or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Strong IFS Platform, Execute, and Energylink experience
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Critical thinking, adaptability, communication, and process improvement abilities
