Job Summary:

The Senior Full Stack Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, integrating, testing, deploying, and maintaining scalable enterprise platform capabilities across multiple layers including user-interface, service, API, workflow, integration, and data access. This role involves building reusable platform services to support various government programs and implementing service-specific connections for registries, permitting, payments, identity, and other business functions. The developer provides technical leadership and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, maintainable, and high-quality software solutions. Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain frontend, backend, APIs, integration, middleware, and data-access components.
- Build and support Java-based microservices, RESTful APIs, and reusable platform services.
- Develop and optimize database objects, queries, and data transformation routines.
- Implement and maintain security protocols including identity and access management.
- Create and maintain automated tests across unit, integration, API, and UI levels.
- Participate in design walkthroughs, code reviews, impact assessments, and sprint planning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during development, deployment, and production support.
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, UX designers, QA, DevOps, and security teams.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical, user, and support documentation.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members.

Required Skills:
- 10+ years experience designing and developing large-scale multi-client web applications.
- Extensive hands-on Java development experience with Oracle, SQL, or comparable relational databases.
- Strong expertise in designing and developing REST APIs and RESTful web services.
- Experience with microservice architecture and applying core architectural principles.




- Proficiency with security gateways and protocols such as JSON Web Tokens, OAuth 2.0, and SSL certificates.
- Experience with relational and hierarchical databases, query languages, SQL tuning, and data-access components.
- Familiarity with middleware, gateways, communication protocols, and enterprise integration.
- Experience using Azure DevOps or similar tools for source control, build, testing, and deployment pipelines.

Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of Ontario Public Service development standards, governance, security, and accessibility.
- Experience in Agile and rapid application development methodologies.
- Solid written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
