Job Summary:

The Senior Software Developer - ETL is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing data migration and conversion projects from legacy systems to modernized solutions. This role involves creating best practice migration strategies, performing data profiling, cleansing, transformation, and validation, and ensuring data integrity throughout the migration lifecycle. The position requires strong technical expertise in ETL tools, relational databases, and cloud technologies, combined with excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and provide conversion support. Responsibilities:

- Develop and document ETL processes for data conversion and migration projects.
- Analyze legacy data and files across various sources and formats to define migration strategies.
- Perform data profiling, cleansing, mapping, transformation, and loading activities.
- Develop and maintain detailed programming specifications and code for migration tasks.
- Conduct unit testing, data validation, and post-migration audits to ensure data accuracy.
- Manage migration of document attachments from legacy systems to new solutions.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand migration requirements and provide ongoing support.
- Prepare and present migration status reports, strategies, and documentation to stakeholders.
- Support cutover processes and troubleshoot technical issues during migration execution.

Required Skills:
- 7+ years of experience developing and documenting ETL processes for data migration.




- Extensive experience in data migration planning and execution for digital transformation initiatives.
- Proficiency with relational databases such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, and Azure SQL Database.
- Strong SQL skills including complex query development and data validation.
- Experience with ETL tools like Azure Data Factory and Informatica.
- Knowledge of cloud database technologies, particularly Azure SQL.
- Ability to migrate document attachments from legacy systems to modern platforms.
- Experience creating ETL mappings, data dictionaries, business cases, and migration plans.
- Understanding of Information Management principles and master/transactional data concepts.

Desired Skills:
- Full life-cycle data conversion experience including deployment and cutover support.
- Proficiency in additional query languages such as PL-SQL.
- Knowledge of mainframe data formats, non-relational data structures, and data segments.
- Experience with scalable data migration solutions and complex data profiling techniques.
- Familiarity with file migration from diverse storage platforms like Azure Blob, SharePoint, and Oracle BLOBs.
