Role: Python Developer Location: Toronto, ON Duration: Long Term Contract

Job Description;

Key Responsibilities: Tech stack: Python, Postgres, RiskWatch, GCP, CICD, Django, etc.

Certifications: (Nice to Have)

Google Cloud certifications or other relevant cloud certifications

CFA, FRM or other relevant Counterparty Credit Risk(CCR) certifications.

Understand current process flows, how the change would integrate into current systems. Enhance and improve current designs while adding functionality. (I want to avoid them writing net recent code for each feature that will be hard to maintain)

Engage with stakeholders to capture requirements and define the scope of GRT work clearly.

Task breakdown & estimation - Decompose requirements into well-scoped, estimated deliverables.





Test strategy & execution - Design comprehensive test strategies and lead end-to-end testing efforts, ensuring coverage across functional, regression, and integration scenarios with mínimal defect leakage.

Currency & upgrade management - Address technical currency by upgrading core components including MQ, Kafka, Airflow, Python, and Java.

Production support - Triage and resolve security vulnerabilities identified through Checkmarx scans and production issues, while maintaining ongoing enhancement sprint cycles with mínimal disruption.
