Lead transportation operations for a dedicated McDonald's distributorship, coordinating manpower, equipment, dispatch, and safety priorities each day.
This Transportation Supervisor provides direction and technical support at an assigned distribution centre. Responsibilities include scheduling, Collective Bargaining Agreement interpretation, route planning, equipment utilisation, cost control, and employee communication. The supervisor also supports service, productivity, reliability, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer daily dispatch and maintain master delivery schedules
- Plan manpower and equipment while minimizing overtime
- Assign driver duties and conduct daily shift meetings
- Oversee vehicle maintenance, repairs, and equipment utilization
- Investigate incidents and complete corrective actions promptly
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, logistics, or related field
- Three to five years’ relevant high-volume logistics experience ideally
- One to three years’ progressively responsible supervisory experience
- Solid Microsoft Office and communication skills required
- Ability to pass a post-offer background check
