Job Summary:

The Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist is responsible for planning, designing, executing, and documenting quality assurance and testing activities for corrections-related software systems, including OTIS and YOTIS. This role ensures solutions meet business, technical, security, privacy, accessibility, and operational requirements through comprehensive testing and collaboration with stakeholders. Responsibilities:

- Develop QA strategies, test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data.
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and regression test cycles.
- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, end-to-end, and accessibility testing.
- Identify, document, track, and resolve application defects and issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement code fixes for defects and production issues.
- Support troubleshooting, break/fix activities, and maintenance of application integrations and interfaces.
- Develop and maintain reusable testing frameworks and automation solutions.
- Participate in code reviews ensuring adherence to coding and quality standards.
- Support deployment activities and release validation testing.
- Produce testing, technical, operational, and knowledge transfer documentation.
- Develop quality metrics, status reporting, and process improvement recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, accessibility, architecture, and operational standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, developers, architects, and project teams throughout delivery lifecycle.

Required Skills:
- Proven experience in developing and executing test strategies, plans, cases, scripts, and test data.
- Solid application development, coding, troubleshooting, debugging, and defect resolution skills.
- Familiarity or ability to learn SOLGEN Corrections applications and integrations, including OTIS and YOTIS.
- Experience with Azure DevOPS, .NET technologies (ASP.NET, ADO.NET, .NET framework), C#, Entity Framework, ReactJS, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, and SQL Database.




- Certification or demonstrated knowledge of current IT technology standards and application testing and development concepts.

Desired Skills:
- Experience developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts and regression test cycles.
- Knowledge of defect tracking, root cause analysis, defect management, and resolution processes.
- Understanding of Ministry of the Solicitor General (SOLGEN) Corrections services and public safety implications.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.
- Experience preparing technical, testing, and operational documentation.
- Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to maintain current knowledge of IT trends and advances across computing platforms.
