Shape ClickUp’s data platform architecture remotely across Canada or the USA using AWS, Snowflake, dbt, and Terraform. Lead decisions balancing scale, reliability, cost, and velocity. As a Staff Data Engineer, you will own the platform’s technical vision and roadmap. You will build reusable frameworks, lead cross-functional initiatives, and improve engineering standards. The role also supports AI/ML infrastructure, including LLM frameworks, feature pipelines, training data systems, and model monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
- Own ClickUp’s data platform technical architecture
- Define infrastructure roadmaps with leadership partners
- Build reusable frameworks, abstractions, and engineering patterns
- Drive cloud infrastructure and compute cost optimization




- Mentor senior engineers through guidance and design reviews

Requirements:
- At least three years at senior or staff level
- Architecture ownership for distributed data systems
- Expert SQL and Snowflake knowledge, including performance tuning
- Advanced Python for reusable libraries and tooling
- Experience with AWS, Terraform, dbt, orchestration, and Docker Bring architectural leadership, AI/ML infrastructure expertise, and platform engineering depth to ClickUp’s distributed data organization.
