SERVPRO of Prince Edward Island is hiring 2 Asbestos Abatement Workers (Asbestos Removers).
Business address and work location: 60 St Peters Road Charlottetown PE C1A 5N5. Work is performed at client job sites across Prince Edward Island.
Terms of employment
- Permanent full-time position
- Wage: $31.20 per hour
- 30 hours per week day shift; overtime as required
- Perks: health and dental
- Start date: as soon as possible
Duties
- Remove encapsulate and enclose asbestos-containing materials and other hazardous materials (lead mould insulation) from buildings
- Handle store and dispose of hazardous materials safely
- Set up and take down containment scaffolding and barricades
- Assist with selective demolition
- Remove debris and clean up contaminants at job sites
- Load unload and transport materials and equipment
Requirements
- Secondary (high) school diploma
- 1 year to less than 2 years of asbestos abatement experience
- Asbestos abatement training
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) training
- WHMIS certificate
- First aid certificate
- Fall arrest protection training
- English
- Able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Able to work at heights in dusty noisy and hot conditions in confined spaces and outdoors
