Lead full-stack AI innovation at Fitch Ratings in Toronto, building Java and React systems through a hybrid work model.

As Lead Software Engineer, you will help create greenfield agentic systems and intelligent platforms for financial analysis and analyst workflows. The role requires Java, Spring Boot, React, and emerging AI technologies. You will guide architecture, technical decisions, experimentation, and delivery across Fitch’s Toronto Innovation Tiger Team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design greenfield agentic systems using Java and Spring Boot
- Build intelligent platforms with React and emerging AI technologies
- Explore generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and intelligent automation
- Define architecture, standards, and technology choices




- Mentor engineers and promote experimentation with CI/CD practices

Requirements:

- 15+ years building enterprise applications or AI/ML systems
- Experience designing scalable systems from scratch
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience driving decisions, mentoring engineers, and leading initiatives
- Interest in AI; hands-on AI/ML experience advantageous
