Job Title: Store Person

Reports to: Storeroom Assistant Manager

Position Overview: Reporting to the Storeroom Assistant Manager, the Store Person is responsible for monitoring and controlling the daily flow of goods in and out of the storeroom. This role ensures the accuracy of inventory receipts, delivers courteous and professional service to internal and external partners, and proactively resolves day-to-day issues.

Job Description:

- Inspect incoming food items for quality, quantity, and specification accuracy against purchase orders.
- Record shortages and reject damaged goods immediately.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of deliveries.
- Execute daily stock receiving and issuing utilizing the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
- Perform regular, accurate inventory counts.
- Maintain food storage, security, and rotation in strict accordance with HACCP regulations.
- Ensure proper date coding is consistently applied and maintain the cleanliness of refrigerated racks.
- Organize and maintain the entire storeroom area in a clean, hygienic, and orderly manner.




- Advise the administration team promptly regarding any product discrepancies or supplier issues.
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Experience:

- Ability to read and write in English
- Must be able to work in freezers/coolers (1-4 hours/day)
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50lbs at shoulder & height level
- Shipping/receiving experience is an asset
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and HACCP processes is an asset
- Experience with large volume of receiving food items and work in a fast paced environment
- Effective problem solving skills
- Detail orientated
- Ability to work in high volume of food products
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Food and Food Safety
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced workplace
- Demonstrate decision making and critical thinking skills

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.20 per hour
