Are you an organized, detail-oriented purchasing professional who can manage competing priorities and keep orders moving?

UBC Group Canada is a manufacturer and distributor of beer and beverage dispensing equipment, commercial refrigeration equipment, and branded promotional products. We are looking for a Purchaser to manage purchasing, supplier relationships, and international inbound logistics.

About the Role

As our primary purchasing professional, you will manage the full procurement cycle-from inventory planning and purchase orders to supplier follow-up and delivery coordination. You will work closely with our sales, warehouse, operations, and accounting teams to maintain product availability and control purchasing costs.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan purchases based on inventory levels, sales demand, supplier lead times, and outstanding orders.
- Source products, obtain quotations, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and issue accurate purchase orders, confirm supplier acceptance, and track orders through delivery.
- Coordinate international inbound shipments with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, product costs, and expected delivery dates.
- Proactively identify and resolve shortages, delays, order discrepancies, and supplier issues.
- Improve purchasing processes to support reliable supply and productive inventory management.

Qualifications





- At least 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably involving imported products.
- Post-secondary education or professional training in supply chain, business, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through.
- Ability to work efficiently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple orders and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with purchasing or inventory management software.
- Experience coordinating international freight and customs documentation is an asset.
- Experience in beer and beverage equipment, commercial refrigeration, or a related industry is an asset.
- Ability to communicate in Ukrainian or Russian is a strong asset, as the role involves regular communication with suppliers and colleagues in Ukraine.

Pay: $30.00-$37.00 per hour
