SMH Equipment is hiring the position of Heavy Duty Mechanic. This position will be responsible for performing mechanical repairs and maintenance of Merlo telescopic machines and Yanmar tractors.

Requirements:

Main responsibilities:

- Employ diagnostic methodologies to determine repairs required over the telephone and on-site;
- Explain diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals;
- Efficiently plan and manage repairs and scheduled maintenance;
- Complete the various service documents clearly within the prescribed time;
- Order parts needed to repair and maintain equipment;
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and desired skills:

- Valid class 5 driver’s license and a clean abstract;

· Electric and Hydraulic experience would be considered a great asset;

· Willingness to learn;





- Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills;
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills;
- High level of comfort in using a computer;
- Valuable organization and time management skills;
- Results-focused;
- Customer service-oriented;

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

Pay: $30.00-$55.00 per hour
