The Squamish Nation is seeking a motivated and analytical Accountant to join the Estx̱wáy̓usem Finance Department within X̱etx̱ítayus Ch'áwch'aw Corporate Services.
Reporting to the Manager, Accounting, the Accountant plays a key role in supporting the Nation's financial operations and maintaining the integrity of financial records. This position contributes to the full accounting cycle, including transaction processing, reconciliations, month-end and year-end activities, compliance reporting, financial analysis, and audit preparation.
This is an exciting opportunity for an accounting professional who is pursuing their CPA designation and is passionate about continuous learning, collaboration, and supporting meaningful work that advantages the Squamish Nation community.
What You’ll Do
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting cycles to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Post and review transactions within the general ledger.
