Job Overview The Assistant Manager at Tim Hortons supports the daily operation of a fast-paced restaurant, helping deliver friendly, efficient service and consistently prepared food and beverages. This hands-on leadership role works alongside the team to maintain smooth shifts, uphold food safety standards, and create a welcoming experience for guests.

Duties

- Support the Restaurant Manager with daily restaurant operations, shift planning, and team coordination.
- Lead, coach, and support team members across front-of-house and kitchen duties.
- Help recruit and interview candidates, onboard new employees, and provide ongoing training.
- Monitor customer service and respond professionally to guest questions or concerns.
- Assist with food preparation and cooking, beverage service, and order accuracy.
- Oversee food handling, storage, cleanliness, and food safety procedures.
- Operate and help team members use POS systems, including Micros POS where applicable.
- Support cash handling, register balancing, and accurate transaction processing.
- Help manage inventory, restocking, product quality, and opening or closing routines.
- Maintain a clean, organized,



and safe restaurant environment.

Skills

- Leadership, team management, and supervising experience.
- Restaurant management experience or experience in a restaurant, food service, or food industry setting.
- Customer service and hospitality skills, with the ability to communicate respectfully and work well under pressure.
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, food handling, and food safety.
- Familiarity with POS systems; Micros POS experience is an asset.
- Cash handling experience and attention to detail.
- Experience in serving, kitchen operations, or restaurant operations is an asset.
- Interviewing or employee training experience is an asset.
- Barista experience is helpful; bartending or hotel experience is also considered relevant.
- A flexible, dependable approach and willingness to work hands-on with the team.

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 – 44.0 per week
