We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Coach to lead our Youth Basketball Teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing training programs, fostering a positive team culture, and educating athletes on the ins and outs of basketball. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the sport, and the ability to motivate and inspire athletes of all skill levels.
Duties
- Implement effective training programs tailored to the needs of the team as a whole.
- Conduct regular practices, ensuring a safe and productive workplace for all participants.
- Monitor athlete performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
- Organize and run practice, including warm-ups, event scheduling, and team logistics.
- Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude among athletes.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and support staff regarding team goals and individual progress.
- Stay updated on the latest coaching techniques,
tournament rules, and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a youth basketball coach in a competitive level.
- Strong knowledge of basketball, training methodologies, and athlete development.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate athletes effectively.
- Ability to motivate and inspire individuals while promoting teamwork.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is preferred but not mandatory.
