Job Overview
- This position is ideal for someone who already has some hands-on experience in cabinetmaking or woodworking and wants to continue developing their skills in a professional manufacturing environment.
You will work alongside experienced cabinetmakers, assisting with the assembly, preparation, and finishing of custom cabinets and architectural millwork. We are not necessarily looking for a senior cabinetmaker. We are looking for someone with a solid foundation, good attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to learn quickly and work independently as their experience grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble frameless cabinetry, cabinet boxes, shelving units, drawers, and other millwork components.
- Work with melamine, laminate, MDF, plywood, and other common cabinetry materials.
- Install cabinet hardware, including hinges, drawer slides, adjustable shelving systems, and related components.
- Read and follow shop drawings, cut lists, and assembly instructions.
- Use hand tools, drills, measuring equipment, and woodworking machinery safely and accurately.
- Check completed assemblies for accuracy, squareness, fit, and quality.
- Assist with cabinet preparation, packaging, and staging for delivery and installation.
- Support experienced cabinetmakers with more complex custom millwork projects.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe working environment.
- Work cooperatively with other production team members to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications
Required
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience in cabinetmaking, cabinet assembly, woodworking, or a related manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with basic cabinet construction and assembly techniques.
- Ability to accurately use measuring tools and common woodworking hand and power tools.
- Ability to read basic shop drawings or willingness to develop this skill.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Dependability, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small production team.
- Ability to safely perform the physical tasks associated with cabinet assembly and shop work.
Assets
- Experience assembling frameless or European-style cabinetry.
- Experience with melamine, MDF, plywood, and laminate materials.
- Familiarity with Blum hinges, drawer slides, and cabinet hardware.
- Experience working with CNC-cut and edgebanded cabinet components.
- Experience in a custom cabinetry or architectural millwork shop.
Who We're Looking For We value reliability, consistency, and a willingness to learn.
The ideal candidate
- Shows up on time and takes their responsibilities seriously.
- Takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Pays attention to details and follows instructions carefully.

- Respects their coworkers, tools, equipment, and workplace.
- Wants to improve their skills and become a stronger cabinetmaker over time.
What We Offer
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience and capabilities.
