Reporting to the CEO, this autonomous manager oversees the Corporate Safety Program and departmental execution. The position leads the Health & Safety team, partners with Operations and business leaders, and drives improvement beyond compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop the Health & Safety team

Develop annual safety strategies and departmental plans

Monitor trends, risks, and safety performance

Oversee audits, inspections, investigations, and regulatory compliance

Maintain field presence and support corrective actions

Requirements

10+ years of progressive Health & Safety experience

5+ years in construction or heavy civil environments

Leadership experience developing teams and managing performance

Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation and WCB

CRSP and/or NCSO designation preferred

Bring field-based safety leadership, regulatory knowledge, and construction experience to Carmacks Enterprises’ Western Canada operations.
