About Us

AU Living Building Construction Ltd. is a growing construction subcontractor specializing in drywall installation, steel stud framing, taping and finishing, insulation, painting, and suspended ceiling systems across Atlantic Canada.

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Construction Project Coordinator to oversee daily field coordination and support multiple active construction projects throughout Prince Edward Island.

This is a field-focused position, not an office administrative role. The successful candidate must have practical construction experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to independently coordinate multiple job sites.

Key Responsibilities

Site Operations & Coordination

- Visit and monitor multiple active construction sites throughout PEI.
- Coordinate daily manpower allocation, subcontractors, and work schedules.
- Ensure workers and subcontractors are meeting project timelines.
- Monitor daily progress and identify potential delays.
- Coordinate with site supervisors to resolve construction issues.
- Ensure each project has the required manpower, materials, and equipment.

General Contractor Communication

- Act as the main point of contact for general contractors and site superintendents.
- Attend site coordination and progress meetings.
- Communicate site requirements, scheduling changes, and outstanding issues.
- Maintain professional relationships with general contractors and clients.

Quality Control & Site Inspections

- Inspect drywall, steel stud framing, taping, painting, and related interior finishing work.
- Identify deficiencies and arrange timely corrections.
- Ensure completed work meets project specifications and quality expectations.
- Verify that work areas are ready for subsequent trades and inspections.

Project Progress & Reporting

- Track daily and weekly construction progress.
- Verify completed work quantities and subcontractor progress.
- Maintain project schedules and manpower records.
- Provide regular updates, site photos, and progress reports to management.




- Assist management with change orders, project documentation, and progress billing.

Materials & Scheduling

- Coordinate material orders and deliveries.
- Monitor material availability and prevent avoidable delays.
- Coordinate work sequencing with other trades and general contractors.
- Assist with planning upcoming construction activities.

Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of practical construction industry experience preferred.
- Previous experience as a Construction Project Coordinator, Site Supervisor, Foreman, or Assistant Project Manager is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of drywall, steel stud framing, taping, painting, or commercial interior construction.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple construction sites independently.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage workers, subcontractors, and changing project priorities.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and basic construction reporting.
- Strong English communication skills.
