JJ's Catering is hiring a Cook for daily breakfast and lunch service at our cafeteria — we're already in full service and looking to add to the team.
Location: 100 Lesmill Road, North York, Ontario (cafeteria) Job type: Part time Schedule: Shifts within Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (breakfast 8:00–11:30, lunch 11:30–3:00; exact shifts to be arranged) Pay: Starting at $17.90 per hour Start date: As soon as possible What you'll do:
- Prep the station and have breakfast ready for 8:00 AM sharp.
- Cook breakfast to order: omelettes, eggs made to order, chicken & waffles, pancakes, hash browns, breakfast sandwiches.
- Change over to lunch at 11:30: smash burgers, jerk chicken sandwich, fish & chips, Philly cheesesteak, veggie burger, soups and salads.
- Keep food safe: correct cooking temperatures, labels and dates, sanitizer buckets,
separate boards for raw and cooked food.
- Close down: store leftovers properly, clean the grill, pans and surfaces, empty garbage, write the next-day restock list.
What you need
- Experience cooking in a busy kitchen.
- Food Handler Certification (or willing to get certified).
- Reliable and on time — Mon–Fri daytime availability.
- Clean uniform, hair tied back, short clean nails. Full duties and time-log rules are covered in a written work document you'll sign on your first shift.
